Special components
Particularly in multi-storey residential buildings, there are often service shafts that extend from the ground floor right up to the top floor. In older buildings, these service shafts run right through the building. In the event of a fire, the flames can spread from the ground floor to the roof in a very short time due to the chimney effect.
In the event of a fire, these service shafts pose a major threat to life and limb!
Specially trained and certified companies can, in consultation with fire safety experts, open the shafts floor by floor and fill them with rock wool blow-in insulation materials specifically approved for this application. This reliably prevents the flames from spreading in the event of a fire.
This blow-in insulation measure does not save on energy costs, as it merely fills a cavity located within the heated building envelope. However, it is an effective and, above all, cost-effective way of implementing preventative fire safety measures.
Please note: this work must only be carried out by trained and certified specialist contractors!
